Gluten allergies have become more frequent in recent years and, as a result, so have diets that exclude gluten. Lucky for you, we have dishes at Julington Creek Fish Camp that aren’t only gluten-free, but delicious too! Trying to find meals that don’t include gluten but still taste great is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Due to this issue, we’re here to make your life a little bit easier by highlighting our favorite gluten-free menu items. Check them out:

Shrimp and Avocado Salad

Start your meal on the right note with this fresh seafood salad. Avocado is all the rage right now, and for good reason. Shrimp pairs well with light ingredients, making avocado a perfect pairing. Our Shrimp and Avocado Salad is bright, gluten-free and out-of-this-world good. If you just want the salad as a starter, simply order the half salad. Although…you may love it too much to only order half.

Grilled Octopus and White Bean Salad

This salad is completely out-of-the-box and totally worth ordering. Grilled to perfection and served with mixed greens, white beans and delicious dressing, how could you not want to try such an interesting starter? If you’re starting to feel in a rut with your gluten-free diet, this salad is the perfect way to throw off your food routine.

Baja Style Tacos

We know tacos don’t scream gluten-free, but all you need to do is sub out the flour tortilla for a corn tortilla or bed of lettuce  and you’ll be back on track to a gluten-free lunch. We’re very serious about tacos, like many of our fellow restaurants around Jacksonville. Order these tacos and they’ll soon be some of your favorites. You can’t go wrong with fresh cod, salsa fresca and adobe sour cream.

Greek Salad

Life doesn’t get much better than sitting on the water enjoying a mediterranean dish like a greek salad. We know from first-hand experience and we think that you need to try it ASAP. Thankfully dairy is gluten-free and you can enjoy it as much as you want. We a suckers for feta cheese and it’s a big staple for our Greek salad. Add some kalamata olives to the salad and we’re sold.

Gluten-free can be a tricky diet, but it certainly has its benefits. Health benefits aside, a gluten-free diet encourages you to try different preparations of meat, veggies and fruit. Throw on your shades, sick out on our deck and dive fork first into the best gluten-free meals we’ve ever had.
